i thought it was a good show overall. rob hall's electro set was awesome and eventually made me dance (after a few drinks). the congo line was embarrassing, but funny in a way. kinda like men's recovery project. those dopey masks were just silly. autechre was good and it was cool to hear them on the 9:30 sound system, but i agree with heather. too repetitive. they sounded best when they broke down those beats and went a lot slower. otherwise, the beats were just way too fast for too long. my favorite i think was maybe the 3rd (?) track/part where they started with an actual melody. the dj after them was ok and got me dancing a little, but at that point, i think i was starved for some kind of hook and was pretty drunk and lit. my only real complaint: why wasn't autechre selling any records at the show? i was hoping to pick up the new album. which reminds me, did anyone at the show recognize anything from confield or was it all completely different stuff? jeff
